This was the home of Dr. George Aldon Greaves and his wife Gladys Lillian Dale Greaves. They came to Victoria from Ontario. Dr. Greaves was 27 years old when he moved into this house. His medical office was also located here.

This house was one of three identical houses built in 1911. It is the twin of 2721 Rock Bay Avenue. A third house, now demolished, stood at 2713 Rock Bay Avenue near the corner of Hillside Avenue: It was the home of William John Ledingham, a carriage builder and city councillor. His brother, Robert L. Ledingham, lived nearby at 611 David Street.
