This residence has been substantially altered, with a large, two-storey additon on the back of the house. But it retains a few Edwardian elements. It has a hipped roof and a half-width porch. Vestiges of an octagonal box bays can be seen on the front and on the left side of the building.

The first householder, William H. Lowe, worked for Hutchison Brothers, an iron foundry and engineering works. The firm was located at 409 Bay Street.
