This dwelling was formerly addressed as 556 Beta Avenue. The house sits on the back of the lot, near the intersection of Gamma Street and Steele Street. It once had a large front lawn with fruit trees. Only an old apple tree graces the property today. However, it survives as a private residence, unlike most of the other Edwardian-era buildings in this part of the Burnside Gorge neighbourhood.

In 1912 this was the Hall family home. Paul Hall was a house carpenter and he may have built this residence. [Information on Mrs. Hall and children to follow].
