Address: 456 Beta Street
Built: 1910
1912 householder: Paul Hall, carpenter
Photo credit: Vickie Jackson, June 2012This dwelling was formerly addressed as 556 Beta Avenue. The house sits on the back of the lot, near the intersection of Gamma Street and Steele Street. It once had a large front lawn with fruit trees. Only an old apple tree graces the property today. However, it survives as a private residence, unlike most of the other Edwardian-era buildings in this part of the Burnside Gorge neighbourhood.
In 1912 this was the Hall family home. Paul Hall was a house carpenter and he may have built this residence. [Information on Mrs. Hall and children to follow].
