Recent news

I've joined the Board of Directors for the Ormsby Literary Society. Named after the eminent BC historian, Dr. Margaret Ormsby, the Society publishes The British Columbia Review, "a lively and inclusive Vancouver-based online journal devoted to the literature, arts, culture, and society of British Columbia."

I revised my biographical sketch of Robert Savery, a landscape architect who designed the Heritage Court at the Royal BC Museum and Archives and centennial fountains in Vancouver and Victoria.

I'm working on a biography of Max Maynard, an artist who began his career in Victoria, BC. Maynard was a contemporary of more famous artists from Victoria, Emily Carr and Jack Shadbolt.
